Football and networking

The City Ground Nottingham, last night, - a bleak January evening - crazy traffic, horizontal rain and the prospect of 90 minutes business networking before the 90 minutes football. But it all turned out just fine.
Yesteryear League Cup winning Forest hero Nigel Jemson shared a few thoughts, answered a few questions and I met a couple of like-minded anti-networking sportaholics to banter with between the prawn sandwiches and suspect lager.

As for the game - well that was equally fine - Forest came back from a horribly nervous opening to win 2-1 and continue their rocket-propelled assent up the Championship - You Reds!

Tackling Smoking in North Notts

Pre-Christmas saw us ‘surprisingly’ hectic as always putting together a new campaign idea for Stop Smoking Nottinghamshire. We wanted to stop nagging smokers about why they should give up smoking and direct our communication to their loved ones and friends! Asking them to do the talking for us and encourage the smoker in their life to give quitting a try.

It was a very quick turnaround job, but the results were met with excellent feedback from clients, partners and smokers alike. We designed a printed pledge including a prize draw function for quitters – the prize 25 wii fit sets (Comments came thick and fast about starting smoking just so they can quit and qualify to enter!). Almost 30,000 pledges and POS material were distributed to local NHS and Council outlets plus a number of local employers to make available to concerned loved ones!

The aim of this campaign is to boost 4-week quitter figures in north Nottinghamshire before the year end - even heftier challenge as it is thought smoking will be on the up as people struggle to cope with the ravages of the current crunch - but we are confident in a significant boost in figures and more positive feedback to come.

Blog - what’s it all about?

A blog is a website normally maintained by an individual. The blog consists of a series of regular diary style entries. These entries can contain just about anything – news, photos, videos, jokes or what you had for lunch today!

If you want you can allow people to leave comments on your blog, these can be managed by the owner of the blog.

In our case, a blog is about giving more of an insight to our business, and the personalities within. Over time, the SHOUT!PR blog will include news about what we are up to on behalf of our clients, helpful tips for design, marketing and PR, and entries giving our personal recommendations on all manner of topics in and out of work.

Keep popping back or subscribe to the RSS feed and you never know what you might find out about us!

Well about time!

Having toyed with the idea of jumping onboard the Blogging Bandwagon for some time now we have at last reached the conclusion that we can no longer keep our thoughts, ideas and opinions to ourselves, so a Blogging we will go.

As more and more speeding snippets spin off the Information Superhighway (does anyone still call it that?) and screech into our consciousness we find we have so much to comment on - more ideas and thoughts to pass on, and a Blog does seem the right vehicle for our musings and our news.
A kid at heart I see it as a great big e-show-and-tell...and I’ve got my hand up!
We’re happy to field your plaudits, comments and criticisms and if there’s any topic you would like us to turn our attention to then please shout up. Also, if you would like to contribute, again, please, be our guest - send us an e-mail and we will respond.

Our blog will be updated whenever any of us has something we think may be of interest and we’re banking on that being more than once every never in a longtime.

We would dearly like you to subscribe to our blog and be notified of updates whenever they pop along. All you need to do is click either 'Posts' or 'All Comments' in the righthand side bar.
